On the beach is where we had our last wedding for 2010, what a way to end the year it, almost felt like holiday, oh yes we are talking wedding bells.
It is the middle of our summer, middle December and the sun is beating down, it is a hot day the humidity almost ninety percent, just a perfect day to celebrate a wedding.
Tammy and Dean who have just recently relocated back to S A after spending some time in the U K, surely they will not miss all those grey and gloomy days. Their move back to South Africa went alongside a vow renewal and wedding celebration on home soil to share with all the respective family members and friends.
The setting is right on the beach, a very well known camping and holiday retreat Rocky Bay. Rocky Bay is on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal close to Scottburgh. On the beach was a big marquee tent with lots of fairy lights to create a welcome ambiance. What I loved about this marquee was that it had see through drop down sides, so although you were out of the wind you could still experience the ocean, the marquee had a dance floor right in the centre of it all. And this was only for the reception; the ceremony took place right on the beach facing the very inviting Indian Ocean. This is what many bridal couples dream, a wedding ceremony and reception right on the beach.
Tammy and the girls were getting ready at a guest lodge about 10 minutes from the ceremony location. This was a typical girly set up, with everyone getting their hair and make-up done, with champagne flowing, fruit and loads of giggles. Tammy were surely getting all the support I bride needs before their wedding ceremony.
Tammy and Dean were game for anything, very nervously we took some cool shots on a busy railway and quickly got out of there, we also had some fun on the close by trampolines.
Once back at the reception, the fun started, every one there, were there to have a good time.
The dance floor was never empty, which is always a sign that the party may carry on till the early morning hours
What a way to end the year.
We wish you lots of luck on your journey for the future.
Love George and Jenna.
