Photographing a wedding is just everyday business, or so most people think and for the largest part that could be true but when you are requested to photograph a fellow photographers wedding it becomes something else.
This is the very gorgeous Minette, a fellow wedding photographer from Bloemfontein and her very hip husband Herman.
It is always a treat to work with a bride, not only are they radiant but just everything about them on that special day just fall into place. The best part of this bridal shoot was that the bride knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it and made our work just so much easier as there was less explaining on what to do and how to do it as Minette was a great example of a bride, a beautiful bride with a gorgeous dress just call for awesome memories.
Herman and the best men all got dressed at the venue, Jakkalsdraai wedding venue in Bloemfontein. As can be expected on the Highveld a little afternoon showers but if the forecast says sunny and hot with very little chance of rain, be sure to tempt fate, first we had a light swift shower followed by the latest irritation – Load Shedding, man this can be annoying. But never the less we had some great times shooting with the boys right after the rain and we were blessed with some awesome clouds to fill the back ground.
The ceremony was blessed with good weather and also gave us a little time to get the old folk in a few shots before they had to run for cover of the rain again.
One of the most difficult assignments of a wedding is to be the master of ceremonies, either too loud and sound bossy or not enough and not getting any results, but if you have a razor sharp guy with authority and a good sense of humour it calls for attention and some great laughs throughout the evening.
We really had a good time spending time with the two of you and hope your dreams are just the start of what is to follow.
Love from Jenna and George.
