When I met Michelle for the first time,she was planning their wedding all by herself. Marius popped the question and then had to go overseas for a couple of months, leaving most of the big decisions on her. Michelle did an awesome job, with so many friends and family contributing to their special day, their wedding day was one to remember.

Marius and Michelle met at church or that is where it started, and looking at them together once can see they have their priorities together.

Michelle and Marius had one request, they did not want their guests waiting, and opted for a romantic “first look”.

They way we plan an bring it together it is a truly emotional experience, and neither bride or groom would ever (or have ever) regret it, and these two were
the same.

Maruis’s dad started the evening with a fun game – one that wil keep the guest talking for long…, and then it was time for speaches and all the other wedding
formalities, and by 9pm EVERYONE was on the dance floor. This was amazing, their guests were there to enjoy the evening and to make it as special as possible for these two before they left for their secret honeymoon.

Jenna en George

Johan and Arista is such a nice couple, real people, who when you get to know them you will find that friends and family are very important to them.

Let me take you back to the start.

The first e-session was cancelled as Johan was not well,{and way to shy}and they did not really want to be photographed, so Arista’s mom and me put our feet down and insisted on rescheduling. So the very next weekend we met with them for their official E-session {engagement session aka couple session}at the beginning of the session they were very nervous and scared as not sure what to expect and as most clients just afraid of being put on the spot. Didn’t take long for them to ease up and enjoy one another.
The e-session is the perfect antidote for nervous couples, so when we get to their wedding day the not nervous at all.

Well as you can see they were all so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and just made it so much easier to get our job done.
Both Johan and Arista is very laid back and take every day and most challenges as and when they arrive, they always sparkle and there is usually something to giggle about.

The wedding took place at the well known Gecko Ridge Wedding Venue East of Pretoria and even though it is right in the middle of winter we managed to capture some great memories for them.
The day was perfect for a wedding with hardly any wind and lots of excited family and friends to cheer on and warm up to with all their well wishes.

Gecko Ridge is a venue that offers a variety of options, from the pond with it’s deck to the mini forest and even a flowing river surrounding the venue, all complete with a verandah overlooking the river, a real gem, and the staff is such a pleasure to work with.

We had a lot of fun shooting their engagement session and just knew that this spontaneous couple will have a ball on their wedding day, and be sure that they did not disappoint in delivering the goods this past Saturday.

The backdrop for their beautiful day was the very neat Memoire Wedding venue in Muldersdrift.

On arrival it was clear that this day was going to be fun filled, laughter, smiles and a very warm welcome greeted us, we met up with Henk and some of the groomsmen at the reception hall just as the last decor and flower arrangements

made their way to the tables.

Henk is a special guy who possesses the talent to change the mood of a group of people just by being there and bring out his contagious laugh. He is always smiling and always ready with an answer to whatever the question is going to be.

We sure had a lot of giggles while shooting the getting ready of the boys and even carried them over to the formal shots of all the groomsmen.

Chaska is one of those brides, when we met up with them for the E-Session we just turned and said boy we will love to photograph this bride, she has so many qualities, and the camera just love them all.

This venue Memoire, have a lot of photo opportunities, you can really choose any time of day for your ceremony and

you will not be disappointed with whatever choices the photographer makes, from manicured gardens to a river and even a forest only meters away from the lovely chapel.

Attention to detail is screaming at you when you take notice of things like detail and finishes, a real gem just across the Jukskei as many of you will be familiar with.

It was a real pleasure working with you two very special people, you make our job so much worth the effort when you get into the groove and really live the day and experience the moment.
