When one thinks of a wedding you tend to associate it with summer time, those scorching hot days when nothing can cool you down. Why have so very few brides thought of an Autumn wedding with the golden sun and that golden glow of the bush.
Even when almost every bride thinks about colour and smell, you always have to take your chances with the weather when hosting an open sky event which is very popular lately, this is not the case in winter time, if you have some measures in place to fight off the odd polar bear. . . .
Yes you have guessed it, we did a winter wedding a few weeks ago in the heart of the bush and this is when I realized how beautiful the bush can be in winter with the golden grass and leafless trees. Yes the skies are so clear air crisp and evenings a bit chilly but really a great time to have your wedding memories captured.
Tiaan and Chantal got married at Kuthaba Wedding Venue and Guest lodge
in the old Nylstroom, a gem just about an hour from Gauteng .
On arrival Chantal and the bridesmaids were so relaxed, must have been all the fresh air as the make-up was all done outside on the patio that overlooks the grass plane towards the river. Chantal is the planner, she likes to be in control and know what is happening where and when, and Tiaan is the laid back element in their relationship.
Tiaan and the best men got off to a relaxed start for the day by having some man time alone.
The ceremony took place on top of signal hill, a spectacular view of the canyon with the grass fields below.
Tiaan and Chantal we had a great time photographing you guys.
Best wishes from George and Jenna
