Wikus and Liza-Marie,
Remember these happy faces ? not too long ago we posted their engagement session from the Botanical Gardens and in a flash the clock ran out and here we are already the wedding day.
Liza-Marie and her bride’s maid surely had the best part of the day spending time with mom in the honeymoon suite under the trees light breeze to carry the song of the birds and all the boxes ticked. This is Liza-Marie she runs it off against a plan to be sure all is accounted for, and this is usually the case with so many of the brides we get to share the day with – not like the guys though ……
As is the norm while busy with capturing some details in the reception area and surroundings the groom and entourage will arrive and shy away from the camera as they perceive this day to be the brides’, Wikus was no different but he knew we had some work to do as the book would not be complete without his part. It was a good thing we did start almost immediately just to realize the shoes were in the wrong vehicle and snappy plans were made to have the shoes appear in time 🙂 just had to share that with you. Wikus is a hands on guy he likes working with his hands and take great pride in what he does.
With this dry summer season and just as we were entering it there was almost no rain to turn the early blooms and leaves green yet but the friendly staff of Die Akker wedding venue made up for that. We had some good fortune as Liza-Marie really loves her horses and Die Akker made their stables available for some awesome memories with the horses as well as let us spend some time with horse who brought the carriage.
It was a good day to photograph a wedding and we thank you for letting us share you precious memories with you.
