Daleen’s Maternity Photo Session

Whenever clients contact me for maternity photography, I always get a bit nostalgic. I get to think back to not so long ago when I was pregnant with my girl. And when they arrive at the studio, I know… I know how it feels not to feel sexy but huge and bloated. What it feels like to long for a good night’s sleep without many visits to the loo ;).
How uncomfortable it is to get in and out of a car. I know how it feels to realise that the pants you bought a week ago is already getting tight.
But I also know how it feels to get ready to welcome your new family member into your house.
How it feels to see and hold your baby for the first time.
I know the overwhelming feeling that first few weeks when you just want to cry when you think how hard it is to keep your baby safe, making plans not to let her leave the house for the next 30 years or so.
So when I met Johnny and Daleen last week for Daleen’s maternity session I felt all those emotions again. Spending some time with them I realised that some heavy spoiling is on its way for their first born (nothing wrong with that? ).
I had with them in the studio, both Johnny and Daleen enjoy photography, and don’t mind to be in front of the camera.
I am looking forward for the next time I see them, as baby Ruan will be with them, and I will get to play for an hour or so! They promised to bring baby to the studio within his first week, which is great for newborn photography.
Here are some of Daleen’s maternity photos, and a short slideshow.

Please note that we do some more nude- {ish}. Very classy and tasteful. I don’t post them as that is a bit more personal. Just keep in mind that you may ask for them.
