Hey There!
Is your little one’s first (or second, third, or even older) birthday coming up? ? Looking to celebrate with a fun and memorable cake smash photoshoot? Well, you’ve come to the right place!
I’m Jenna, a children’s photographer with 17 years of experience. I absolutely LOVE doing cake smash photoshoots—they’re definitely on top of my list!
? About the Photoshoot
Location: My cozy studio is based in Waverley, Pretoria, just a stone’s throw from the Stormvoël offramp on the N1. Easy to reach from anywhere!
Duration: Typically, a cake smash session lasts about an hour (maybe a bit shorter for the chronic smilers!).
Here’s how our fun-filled session will unfold:
- Family Photos:
- We kick off with some family portraits. Why? Because YOU are always the one taking the photos and never in them, right? It’s time to update your family photo wall with beautiful, recent family photos!
- The Cake Smash (or Donuts, Ice Cream, Spaghetti and Meatballs!):
- After the family shots, it’s time for the star of the show to have some smashing fun! Whether it’s cake, donuts, ice cream, or even spaghetti and meatballs, we can tailor the session to what your little one loves most.
- Bubble Bath:
- To wrap things up, we’ll have a nice warm bubble bath. This helps clean up the mess and relaxes your little one before the trip home.
?? What You Need to Do
Once you’ve chosen a package and shared your inspiration with me, there’s not much more you need to do! I’ll handle all the nitty-gritty details to ensure everything runs smoothly.
My studio is in Waverley Pretoria. We always start with a few family photos. (mom, dad, and baby). We will then do the cake smash and end the session with a warm bubble bath or a milk bath (or both).

PLS NOTE THAT IF YOUR BABY HAS FOOD ALLERGIES WE WILL NOT SUPPLY A CAKE YOU NEED TO SOURCE YOUR OWN CAKE. THERE IS A R300 DISCOUNT IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN CAKE – Discount also applies if you prefer to bring your own cake!
** Pls keep in mind that the more family photos we do…. the quicker the baby will get tired and overstimulated, so keep the extra family members at a minimum. You can always come to do just a mini or even a full family photoshoot in a couple of weeks
*VERY IMPORTANT* THE STUDIO IS VERY BUSY ALL YEAR ROUND IF YOU NEED YOUR PHOTOS BY A SPECIFIC DATE YOU NEED TO DO YOUR SESSION AT LEAST 4 WEEKS BEFORE THAT DATE TO RECEIVE THEM ON TIME.I DO HAVE A RUSH FEE OPTION – RUSH ORDERS TAKE 1.5 WEEKS FROM THE DATE OF APPOINTMENT AND IS AN ADDITIONAL R600
