Oh what a darling. Okuhle turned one and celebrated with me in the studio.

Even though we get to work with, pink, gold and white a lot, I still try and make it look just a little different to what I did last.

But princess Okuhle was adorable and had loads of fun in the studio.

And as always we do end our photo sessions with a nice warm cozy warm bubble bath, look how much she enjoyed it…….

Benji’s green and blue first birthday cake smash

When Yolandi booked her sons first birthday cake smash photo shoot she choose blue and green as her theme colour. I have had these cute little blue whale props for the longest time, and decided it was time to use them. The blue and green banting went so well with the whale figurines. And this blue backdrop photographs amazingly.I love the vibrant blue colour.

Yolandi and ….. told me Benji is extremely friendly, but I had no idea how much he had in reality.

This little boy is always smiling, or so he was right through his photo shoot.

He had no complaints and no matter what I wanted to do, he just ha fun.

As always when a baby is good, mom and dad had a hard time choosing their final images, as this little boy gave us way to many cute facial expressions.

Oh how cute is this little peanut, with just so much attitude. I loved having her in the studio, she was so relaxed and very friendly.

This was such a cute and awesome session, here is just a few of her photo shoot.

as usual at the end of a very successful cake smash we end our session with a warm bubble bath. Not only is it fun for the kids, but its a easy way in getting them cleaned up. Zoey-Jayn LOVED her bubble bath. She had so much fun, and her laughter filled the studio.

Blue and silver first birthday cake smash

What a awesome first birthday cake smash photo shoot!

Shaun Mhlanga is one of the friendliest little one year old I have the privilege of knowing. This little champ visited our photo studio for his first birthday pic’s.

He smiled from the get go. Boy oh boy, such a friendly, very much loved, little peanut.

I always try to get just a couple of family photos. And if baby is still okay I will proceed to do some individual images of just baby. This doesn’t always happen. Sometimes these little munchkins arrive tired. Already irritated or they are just not having a good day (like we all have our bad days). But Shaun exceeded my expectations. He gave me so many smiles I just could not stop.

He smiles did not stopped when we got to the cake smash part, nope he stayed in a happy mood and gave us some awesome photographs.

Something mom and dad will cherish forever.

First birthday smash and splash shoots don’t always go as planned – or as mommy and daddy had envisioned. Sometimes one look at the colorful cake could send a one year old to tears. Another reason could be if they touched the cake and they are not used to getting dirty, boy then the tears can really flow. But not with Shaun. He had no problem with the colorful setup.

He loved his little prince themed birthday cake, and he truly had a royal time (pun intended) right to the end of his hot bubble bath.

Mr A’s newborn photoshoot, what a handsome baby

Little Mr A’s newborn photoshoot

Bonolo and Gaolekwe were so stoked for their newborn photoshoot when they arrived.

Little A’s mother Bonolo is so photogenic and I am sure that the specific gene was carried over to her baby boy. Okay looking a the photos now, Dad is just as great on that side of the camera, don’t you think?

As always I love to start with the family part of my newborn shoot. My studio is the perfect temperature for a naked baby, but make-up tends to melt off, so trying to do the family at the end will not work.

Mommy and Daddy were clearly loved with their little prince, and it was visible in all our photos

This little guy had the cutest little hands and feet, they were screaming to be photographed, and so I did.

As I started with his baby portraits , this little one opened his eyes and decided to have a little chat with me. He was just too cute, still pretty new. He reacted so cute and full of smiles when I spoke to him..

It did take some convincing after our chat session, to get this little boy asleep, but once he did, the rest of his photoshoot was smooth sailing. How good did he do?

I think he did an amazing job. He was a super star, and really deserved a little treat at the end of his first newborn photoshoot. I am Looking forward to seeing this little one for his first birthday cake smash photoshoot in a years time.

This sleepy angel was an absolute pleasure to photograph. At first I was a bit worried that we would not get her to sleep, she really made me work hard. But fortunately once she was in dreamland, she stayed there for the remainder of her photoshoot.

Baby girl photo shoots are so much fun – well sometimes, when we get them in soon after birth. It is almost like playing dress up, well it is, I just get to “play” and then give the little princess back to her parents afterwards. And I have a peaceful nights sleep, and they not…
