At Jenna D Photography, we have the privilege of witnessing and preserving some of life’s most precious moments. Recently, we had the joy of hosting Mommy Simphiwe and Daddy Sihle. Along with their adorable newborn baby Zenkosi, who was just over a week old for her newborn photography shoot
A first
The studio was filled with excitement as the family walked in, ready for their first professional photoshoot with their little bundle of joy. Mom had chosen the color pink as the theme for their session. It was clear from the start that this would be a session filled with warmth and tenderness.
One of the most beautiful aspects of newborn photography is the innocence and serenity that babies bring to the studio. Zenkosi was no exception. As soon as we began, it was as if she knew that this was her special moment to shine. She peacefully closed her eyes and slipped into a deep slumber.
With every click of the camera, we captured the delicate features of this precious baby girl. The soft, rosy pink backdrop complemented Zenkosi’s gentle complexion perfectly, creating an atmosphere of pure love and affection. Mom and Dad gazed at their little one with adoration, their faces lighting up with the love that only parents can feel.

As the session continued, Zenkosi remained peacefully asleep. Allowing us to create stunning images that will be cherished for a lifetime. The delicate props and accessories we used only enhanced the sweetness of the moments we capture. Tiny headbands and soft blankets adorned our tiny model, adding a touch of whimsy to the photos.
Towards the end of the session, something magical happened. Zenkosi slowly began to stir, her little eyes fluttering open. It was as if she wanted to make sure we didn’t miss out on capturing her beautiful, alert gaze. Those fleeting moments when her eyes met the camera lens revealed a world of curiosity and wonder.
Simphiwe and Sihle, standing by, couldn’t help but smile as they watched their baby girl awaken to the world around her. The connection between parents and children was palpable, and we were fortunate to document these heartwarming moments of tenderness and love.

As the session concluded, our hearts were full, knowing that we had beautifully captured the essence of this young family’s love and the precious beginning of Zenkosi’s life journey.
