Looking for preschools in Raslouw is often part of a bigger planning season.
Your child may be moving from baby care into a more structured preschool. Or you may be thinking ahead to Grade R, primary school and the daily school run.
Either way, it can feel like a big decision.
This guide is here to help you start your search for preschool and pre-primary options in the Raslouw area.
It is not a personal recommendation, paid listing or ranking. Please contact each school directly, book a visit and decide what is right for your child.
Last checked: June 2026. School information can change, so please confirm ages, fees, grade groups, school hours and availability directly with each school.
This post is part of my Centurion parent guide series. You may also want to start with my broader guides to Daycares in Centurion and Nursery Schools in Centurion if you are still comparing different areas.
Raslouw is a popular family area in Centurion, close to suburbs like Celtisdal, Wierda Park, Rooihuiskraal, Heuweloord and Amberfield.
For many parents, it makes sense to look at schools close to home or close to work routes.
A preschool that is easy to get to can make a big difference to your daily routine. Especially in the mornings when your child suddenly needs to take “the exact blue cup” and no other cup will do.
Junior Colleges Raslouw is part of the Junior Colleges preschool group. Their website says the Raslouw school caters from 6 weeks to Grade 00. Their contact details list the address as 189/2 Aletta Street, Raslouw, Centurion.
Address: 189/2 Aletta Street, Raslouw, Centurion
Good to check if: you want a preschool that accepts babies through to Grade 00.
Pinnacle College Raslouw Pre-Primary has a pre-primary section for Grade 0 children. Their website says the Early Years Learning Centre encourages children to explore, discover and develop through intentional play. Pinnacle College Raslouw also includes primary and high school phases, so it may suit parents thinking about longer-term schooling.
Area: Raslouw
Good to check if: your child is closer to Grade R age and you are considering a larger school environment.
Raslouw Academy and Raslouw Junior Academy are remedial schools based in Centurion. Their website says the original Raslouw Academy was founded in 2004 after a need for supportive education was identified in the community.
This is not a typical daycare or general preschool option, but it may be worth knowing about if your child needs a more supportive learning environment.
Area: Raslouw / Centurion
Good to check if: your child needs remedial or supportive education rather than a mainstream preschool.

When you compare schools in Raslouw, check the exact age group carefully.
Some schools use words like preschool, pre-primary, Grade 0, Grade 00 or Grade R differently.
One school may accept babies and toddlers, while another may only start closer to school-going age. A bigger school campus may also have a pre-primary section, but that does not always mean it offers baby care or toddler care.
Before booking a visit, ask:
What age does your youngest class start?
Do you offer Grade 00, Grade 0 or Grade R?
Is this a daycare, preschool, pre-primary or school-readiness class?
Do you offer half-day and full-day options?
Is aftercare available?
Do children move into the primary school automatically?
What happens if my child is not ready for the next grade yet?
This avoids wasting time on schools that are lovely, but not actually suitable for your child’s current age.
When comparing preschools in Raslouw, ask questions based on your child’s age and needs.
For younger children, ask about:
nap time
meals
potty training
emotional settling
teacher-to-child ratios
outdoor play
sick policies
daily communication
For older preschool children, ask about:
Grade R readiness
early literacy
fine motor skills
social development
reporting to parents
daily routine
school readiness assessments
independence skills
Also ask what happens if your child struggles.
That answer can tell you a lot about the heart of a school.

Most children will do well in a mainstream preschool environment.
But some children may need extra support with speech, sensory needs, emotional regulation, learning delays or school readiness.
If you already know your child needs a different kind of support, it may help to ask schools early and honestly what they can offer.
There is no shame in finding the right fit.
Children bloom in different gardens.
Raslouw may appeal to parents who are thinking beyond only one year of preschool.
Some families want a preschool close to home. Others want a school environment where their child may be able to continue into primary school. Some parents simply need a practical route that works with work, siblings and traffic.
Before deciding, ask yourself:
Do I only need care for this year?
Am I looking for a long-term school environment?
Do I need baby care, preschool or Grade R?
Will the daily route work for our family?
Does the school’s approach suit my child’s personality?
Your answer may help you narrow down your options.
